Our Team
Heather
Heather has been involved in the equestrian community in different capacities for over 40 years as an owner, rider, competitor, and farm owner. She has also been an assistant trainer, worked on well-known breeding farms, run a sales barn including importing horses for resale, been part of show management teams, and is a certified sporthorse appraiser. She has a genuine love and respect for all animals and enjoys caring for and prioritizing horse care and comfort above all else.
Jordan
Jordan has been immersed in the horse world since infancy. Her riding began at age two with lessons at a local hunter/jumper barn, and at three her parents bought her a pony — the start of a lifelong passion for showing. From then on, her dedication to horses and to improving as a rider and horsewoman has been all-consuming.
She has experience across Hunters, Equitation, Medals, Derbies, and Dressage, but her true passion has always been the Jumpers. Jordan has ridden successfully up to the 1.30m jumpers, earning numerous wins and championships. She is currently preparing to move up to Future and Welcome Prixs with her main competition horse, Chakira B and aims to compete in Grand Prix classes this upcoming show season.
Jordan has trained and worked with top professionals including Gry and Ian McFarlane, Brian Wee, Morgan Caplane, Joe Fargis, and Andrew Ramsay. As a junior, she was invited to and participated in the Emerging Athletes Program. She has competed nationally and internationally up to the 3* level, with a top-ten finish in Regional and Zone Finals and a podium finish at SplitRock Sonoma.
Jonathan
Jonathan joined HJS in 2020 and has been an integral part of team ever since. His genuine love of animals is obvious in every interaction he has with them. His calm demeanor, consistent reliable care, and attention to detail makes every horse feel safe and relaxed. Just watching all of the animals follow him throughout the day and call out to him randomly shows what an invaluable asset he is to the HJS team.
